Master of Computer Application

Master of Computer Applications [MCA] is a program of extraordinary scope and vitality. The IT enabled service sector is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy and it offers enormous opportunities to young professionals. It is estimated that the gap between demand and supply would increase in the coming years and this represents even greater potential for a fast track career. The Department aims at developing the academic skills to enable the students to Interact with real life situations and to build the systems. Take up key positions in systems management and project management in leading IT Corporations.

The Department association CASTA (Computer Applications Students Technical Association) organizes regular lecture meets, eminent resource persons are invited to these meetings. CASTA sponsors candidates for various MCA meets where our students participate and emerge in flying colours. CASTA also organizes an inter collegiate technical meet that is conducted every year, and is hosted to all the colleges in the country.

Lab Facilities

Programming LAB(PG)

The PG Programming lab is having full fledged computer systems which can occupy 60 Students. The lab is fully equipped with furniture, LCD and OHP to make it possible for conducting the Lectures along with the Practical. All the systems have Internet connection to support the students for retrieving information related to their field.

4	03-12-2010	National Level Workshop on Linux Know-How Chief Guest:Mr.Arun Eapan from Red-Hat India Pvt Ltd, Mr.T.Srinivasan and Mr.P.Raman,ILUGC,Highlight of the Guest's Speech:Mr.Arun Eapen-open source architecture and cloud computing stood as highlight,Mr.T.Srinivasan and Mr.P.Raman have trained on Linux file system architecture,Perl,PHP and other multimedia applications.
