Department of Information Technology
The Department of Information Technology has a wide range of software and hardware facilities with fully equipped laboratories to meet the latest syllabus of Anna University

The Department has expertise in providing web solutions to the students by using advanced web designing, programming software like ASP.NET, PHOTOSHOP, FLASH, XML, J2EE, etc., The well experienced and qualified faculty are assisting in the development and hosting of of websites, B2B applications and maintenance of existing portals.

The aim of IT association VISA (Versatile Information Technology Students Association) is
to encourage the students to be self-motivated and to extract the hidden talents. It also organizes a State Level Technical Symposium every year.
 
Lab Facilities

The students of the department have access to the four Computer centers of SKR. These computer centers are designed, laid out and equipped so scientifically that students can spend hours together at the terminal without fatigue. The total infrastructural facilities available at our computer center in terms of hardware, software and collection of books afford students to develop their skills in their respective areas of study.

The computer laboratories are equipped with more than 175 Pentiums with color monitors and sufficient printers of all types. The Department is fully equipped with the facilities and infrastructure needs to run the department effectively. Current facilities include two Computer Labs with 175 Desk Top systems connected in LAN environment with LINUX and Windows XP. We have 512 KBPS Leased line Internet Connection for the Students.

The Laboratory classes will have a compact batch size to enable the students work individually on computers and the Laboratory will also be kept open for extended hour to facilitate students learn more than the stipulated lab work.

The Department also has its own Departmental Library with a good collection of books related to Computer Science and Engineering.
