Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

Electronics and Communication Engineering is one of the largest and rapidly growing Engineering profession. It plays a major role in the economic growth of a Nation and its applications are extending in major sectors like Telecommunication, Healthcare Industries, Transportation, Chemical, Steel, Petroleum, Etc.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is well laid out with the following modern laboratories with latest equipments

The Department association Besta provides a platform for students initiative to learn various hard and soft skills. The students are encouraged to present papers and participate in the inter-collegiate quiz, Seminars and symposium

A well equipped Departmental library is also maintained with more than 500 volumes of books on various titles for the benefit of the staff and students

Lab Facilities

Electronics Circuits Lab

This Lab includes Electronics Circuit I, Electronics Circuits II, Electronics Devices and Design Laboratory. This Lab consists of all types of measuring instruments and cathode ray oscilloscope, audio oscillators, function generators and various types of decade boxes.Â Software such as MATLAB, EMTP are taught to the students in this lab to enable them to design, analyze & simulate and even compare with industry.

This has been found to give immense practical utility to the students in their future career.

Analog and digital Devices Lab

This laboratory includes Linear Integrated Circuits, Digital Electronics and VLSI. The field helps the students to get exposure about the analog ICs and Digital ICs performances and some applications. It also helps the students to design the given specification and requirements and also to check for the functionality.
The circuits can be realized and implemented using special tools like MODELSIM, XILINX (Project Navigator) etc., which helps the students an immense industrial atmosphere. The laboratory is fully air conditioned.

DSP Laboratory

The DSP Laboratory helps the students to have an idea in processor programming and also to implement the logic codes. The laboratory has about 30 systems and processor kits of about 40. The laboratory is fully conditioned with processor simulating tools.

Communication System Laboratory

This Laboratory includes Digital Communication Systems and RF Laboratory which helps the students to get a practical exposure in modulation techniques and sampling process. The laboratory is fully equipped with Antenna models, CRO (Digital Storage Oscilloscope) and communication kits. The laboratory is fully conditioned.

Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory

The laboratory creates a practical idea in coding the processor and controller in assembly language. It helps the students to know the methods of interfacing techniques of various peripherals like floppy drive, keyboard etc., The laboratory is fully conditioned.

Network Laboratory

This Laboratory creates a practical idea for the students to create connectivity between PCâ€™s both in hardware and software. The Laboratory provides the facility for designing the required network formation for the students.
